Mr Smollens went the distance with me in trying to answer some questions that I directed to him but stopped short of being too specific in giving me ” bullseye” answers or advice that a lawyer normally would have done in a lawyer-client relationship. I’m very grateful for his help and commentary, as well as the commentary provided by the other attorneys whenever I use this great AVVO site to get some preliminary guidance in matters involving legal questions that I may have which need to be answered in order to push for satisfactory resolve of issues being dealt with on the consumer level. It would make for a much more efficient site I think to have lawyers review the questions that people ask and if it is in their area of expertize, have them email the person who asked for the help if they are local and after asking a few added questions, give them the opportunity to hire them for counsel if the odds are that they will be successful in finding a timely and positive resolve to the problem. Mr. Smollens is an excellent attorney. He responds to your inquiries immediately and even works for you during the holidays. He helped me on New Year’s Eve. He helped to put my mind to rest on some issues concerning my landlord’s attempt to evict the entire building. He explained rent stabilization to us and provided us with links and information concerning rent stabilization. I can not recommend him highly enough. He is an asset to the legal profession and I only wish all attorneys had his heart , knowledge and high ethical standards.
